Computer Builds

I custom build desktop computers, and can custom configure laptops as well to whatever your needs may be. I build to your needs and wants, and I can build to varied form factors. I can build compact desktops for offices, full functioning  towers for file servers/media servers and rack mounted  gear for industrial applications. I can set your computer up to have RAID arrays for real time hardware backup of your data, and I can also set up a plan to keep that backed up to a different media as well.  I can build for cost, and speed as well.

Computer Upgrades

Many times the computer itself is only in need of an upgrade, and not replacement. Some computers can have their useful lives extended with the change of some basic hardware, a good cleaning, and a fresh installation of the operating system. Some small upgrades can have a very beneficial impact and make the computer run like whole new machine. Memory is one of the easiest to do, followed by hard drive, and a CDRW can help out on backups for an older system with an old (and sometimes not a standard) tape backup. I can help you to make the determination as to whether your present PC is a candidate.

Unlike national companies that have all their repair work contracted out, and have a lengthy process to get a technician out to fix the computer (and in many cases the computer hardware is not the issue) and once they are done, the problem can still exist. Most computer manufacturers cannot provide service that can get there within 24 hours or less, without troubleshooting that may involve re-imaging ( the computer becomes like how it came out of the box) for a suspected hardware issue. While that is a valid way of finding out, it's also a destructive method to find it. Re-imaging a computer can cause a computer that is not backed up to be as useful as a brand new file cabinet, when your old cabinet had all your contacts, paperwork, and email, effectively your whole business. I can do the same type of troubleshooting, on site, without losing data that was not previously corrupted. I also can set up a backup program that takes a minimum of work to maintain, and will keep all the important data for your business intact, and on easily purchased media.

I can usually be on site within a couple of hours( In the Portland metro area), and in many cases less. (my record is 10 minutes, but I can't count on being that fast) I have some stock of interim replacement parts, and if there is a need for a rebuild and requires down time in excess of a day, I can usually provide a PC that can fill in temporarily.
