June
2000-present: Centerfield Packaging,
Portland OR. Information Systems Officer. I implemented a full business
computing environment from component parts, including offsite WAN connectivity
for home office, DSL connections using DHCP and static IP addressingand
firewalls, via DSL routers, remote administration, integration of
software packages including Winfax Pro 10, Act 2000, Quickbooks Pro 2000, Office
2000, and several other software packages. Presently, Centerfield Packaging
Company has representatives in 4 states with several branch offices.
I also on occasion am consulted in regards to computer equipment needed
for customers for installed automated systems, mainly barcode printers, software
implementations, and barcode scanners.
June
2000-May 2001: CDI Corp, Hillsboro
OR, Aloha OR. Software/hardware
tester, MTUI install technician (2 positions) As a contract employee of Intel
Corp, my initial duties included testing and documenting defects in drivers,
software, and hardware being tested, using PVCS Tracker. Testing was under NT4,
Win9x, Windows ME, and Win2000. Testing involved assembling systems, creating
and checking software loads, defect regression, research, testing plan
execution. Another contract position at Intel included equipment preparation,
scheduling, administrative edits in Unix and windows NT, and replacement of Unix
X terminals with windows NT4 workstations, in a chip fabrication clean room
environment.
1997
to June 2000: Stream, Beaverton OR.
Telephone Technical support. Supporting
computer hardware, Windows operating systems, network protocols, applications,
and Internet browsers (including IE2-IE5) for Windows 95 and 98.
Support was as outsource for Microsoft, as well as Dell Computers. Level
2 support for Windows 95 and Windows 98 platforms, driver and registry issues,
Hardware compatibility, data retention and NT networking issues regarding Win95
and 98 clients.
1995-1997:
TeleMark, Milwaukie, OR. Inbound
Telephone sales. Sales for a
variety of accounts, requiring extensive knowledge of the products, which ranged
from mortgage products to satellite service, software, and long distance.
1992-1994: Portable
Energy Products, Scotts Valley, CA. Assembly:
level 2. Duties included construction, testing, and acid fill for rechargeable
sealed lead/acid batteries for laptops and other uses. I also performed process
control data gathering/collation duties and generated histograms, using Excel.
1989-1992:
Meni-Ketti Music Co, Oakland, CA. My
duties were sales and installation of sound systems, musical instruments, and
lighting, also including some basic in house instrument and equipment repairs.
1981-1985
U.S. Navy, Moffett Field, CA. Aviation Antisubmarine Warfare acoustic
operator. Duties included operation, analysis of data from sonar system on P-3C
Orion patrol plane, and associated collateral duties.
